Did you know that February is LGBT History Month? It’s a European thing….I guess something like EuroVison. The USA version of LGBT History Month is actually in October, when it coincides with National Coming Out Day, but the month is celebrated in Europe because of some LGBT historical events that occurred in the UK. There are nine European countries which observe the month-long holiday, celebrating LGBT life, culture and history.
In the UK, the lgbthistorymonth.org.uk website has been posting daily updates about LGBT individuals around the world and throughout history. This year is the second time that the event is being organized in Romania. The NGO, Accept Romania, organized movie nights, art exhibitions, plays, debates and workshops throughout the month.
